Now that you've got a vendor and an associated property registered for sales on the system, you can start the sales process. This starts with recording details your first (potential) buyer.
Add your first buyer
From the residential sales dashboard, click Buyers > Add Buyer from the main menu. This will display the Add Buyer form.
The mandatory fields on this form are the buyer's first and last name. For the purposes of this quick-start tutorial simply fill in these two fields and click Save to add the buyer to the system.
Recording buyer preferences
You will also most likely add some details on the type of property which the buyer is interested (his/her preferences) in via this form also, either when adding the record or by editing soon afterwards.
As well as the obvious price range within which the buyer is hoping to purchase a new home, you can specify the number of properties by moving the minimum and maximum values using a slider to set the range. Typically a buyer may be looking for a property in more than one location, e.g. a couple of neighbouring towns, or they may be looking for more than one type of property, e.g. a detached and/or a semi-detached. You can choose multiple options from these drop-down selectors, and remove them afterwards if you wish.
To widen the search you can simply leave some of the preference criteria blank or at their default settings. By default all buyers will be included when performing property matches; you can exclude them from these matching operations by unchecking the Include In Matches checkbox.
