Diary or calendar appointments may be created in a certain context via the viewings, valuations or inspections views, for example, or they may be entered as general diary events with no specific relation to a property or particular person. Alternatively they may be reminders of events generated by the system itself to alert users to upcoming events such as expiring certificates or rent reviews.
Regardless of how or by whom these diary events were created, they will be visible in a number of views throughout the application.
The main view is the dedicated calendar view accessible via the module selector menu.
The calendar may be viewed in a number or formats, depending on your planning outlook or the number of events you typically have in your diary.
- List Week
- List Day (default)
The daily and weekly views show a time-based representation of the chosen period, with events displayed in the appropriate time slot from 7am to 9pm. The alternative list view does not show time slots, but instead just lists the events in chronological order for each day.
Click any event to pop-up a more detailed view. From the event dialog you can click through to view or modify the event directly.
You can add a general diary event directly from the calendar view by clicking Add Diary Event.
The calendar view features a number of filters which may be used to find different diary events depending on date, type or user criteria (full list below).
- Event type
- User (all users in the agency)
- Branch (at the top of the screen)
All events are colour-coded to aid readability. The colour-code legend is shown on the calendar view.
You may wish to sync your calendar with another email client on your laptop or mobile device, e.g. Microsoft Outlook or Google Mail. Follow this link for more details on setting up your calendar on another email or calendar client, or on your tablet or smartphone.
