The basic address details associated with a resale property are added in the same way as a property in any module. Read about general property details which include address, additional information such local authority and alarm codes, and viewing arrangements.
When adding a resale property the following sections will also be shown for sales-specific information. Each section shows the fields available for completion. Those marked with a red asterisk are mandatory and must be completed, while all others are optional.
Sale Status: As the resale property progresses through the sales process its status will change. Set this value to indicate where the property currently is in the sales pipeline when it is added. The following options are available:
- Available (Default)
Branch: If your agency has multiple branches you can specify which branch is responsible for the sale of this property. It will be automatically set to the current branch selection for the current user. If you only have one branch the property will be associated with that branch by default.
Sales Negotiator: Designate which staff member has responsibility for this property; by default it will select the current user. Don't worry if you don't formally assign sales negotiators within your agency, it will only be used in other stages of the sale process if you decide to utilise it for reporting, otherwise it will be ignored.
Reason for Sale: Select the reason why the vendor is selling their property. As well as providing additional information which might help with the sale itself, this may assist with analysing your sales activity for various properties.
Registration Date: The date on which the property is added to your agency's stock of resale properties.
Instruction Date: The date on which the property may be made available for sale.
Completion Date: This will most likely not be set when adding a property, but is the ultimate date on which the property sale completes. It may be set during the latter stages of the sale process.
