You can view all protected security deposits via the Accounting > Security Deposits menu in the Lettings module menu. Change the filter to show protected deposits.
Click the Return icon alongside the relevant deposit to view the deposit details, and then click Return Deposit.
Return deposit wholly to tenant
When returning the deposit, if there is no dispute about any outstanding charges or rent, then leave the Dispute checkboxes unticked so that all money will be returned to the tenant. Click Save.
In the event of disputes
When returning the deposit, if there are disputes about outstanding charges or rent, then tick the checkboxes relating to the disputed items and click Save. The undisputed element may be returned to the tenant and the remainder will be held in the scheme until the dispute is settled.
